W Maldives
Project Completion 2023
Interior Design & Art Consultancy by Miaja Design Group
North Ari Atoll, Maldives – [March 11 2025] – W Maldives, the acclaimed luxury resort set in the breathtaking North Ari Atoll, has reopened following a stunning transformation led by Miaja Design Group. Commencing in 2023, this ambitious refurbishment marks a new era of design for W Resorts, blending the brand’s audacious, colourful, and playful spirit with a more refined and meaningful interpretation of luxury.
Gone are the days of “in-your-face” opulence; today’s luxury traveller seeks holistic experiences that harmonise with nature and foster connection. W Maldives has embraced this shift, reimagining its 77 villas and public areas into immersive sanctuaries that celebrate the Maldives’ unparalleled natural beauty. The resort’s design narrative is inspired by the “worlds above and below” the atoll’s surface, weaving together the lush biodiversity of the land and the vibrant marine ecosystems beneath the waves.
Onsite Conditions Prior to Design & Renovation:
After a meticulous two-year transformation, Miaja Design Group is proud to unveil the complete reimagination of the W Maldives, where every space tells a new story.
The public areas are designed as a journey in themselves, with bridges, portals, and hybrid pods creating fluid, interconnected environments that seamlessly guide guests from arrival to exploration, all while iconic, configurable furniture encourages dynamic gatherings against the breathtaking Maldivian backdrop.
This deep connection to nature is masterfully extended into the private sanctuaries: the Premier Overwater Villas draw inspiration from the patterns of whale sharks and kaleidoscopic coral reefs, while the Escape Beach Villas reflect the intricate textures of resilient mangroves. Completing this symphony of land and sea, the new Oasis Beach Two-Bedroom Villas offer expansive living with private pools and whimsical indulgences, solidifying the resort as a pinnacle of playful luxury.
“Our goal was to create a design that reflects the harmony and balance of nature,” says Isabelle Miaja, Managing & Creative Director of Miaja Design Group. “Through these spaces, we hope to bring awareness to the fragile beauty of the Maldives and encourage guests to take part in its preservation.”

Bumrungrad International Hospital
VitalLife Clinic — Bangkok Thailand
Project Completion 2025
Interior Design & Art Consultancy by Miaja Design Group
Miaja Design Group was honoured to partner with Bumrungrad International Hospital on the renovation and opening of the VitalLife Scientific Wellness Centre, a project embodying the mission of “Unlocking the Secrets to a Longer, Healthier Life.”
Our design philosophy directly supported their pioneering vision for preventive and longevity medicine. We crafted an environment that mirrors their scientific-based healthcare guidelines, moving beyond a clinical feel to create a personalised, patient-centric journey. This was realised through our concept of an “Ecosystem of Care,” where every design element, from the spatial flow to the application of the golden ratio in architecture, ensures the patient is the unwavering point of focus.
The centre's determination to raise the level of care is expressed through a harmonious blend of cutting-edge technology, calming luxury, and flexible spaces that facilitate the unique VitalLife Wellness Program, allowing their expert team to deliver truly individualised plans that slow the aging process and promote lasting vitality.
