Ibis Hotels
Interior Design & Art Consultancy
Project Completed 2025
The design partnership for ibis hotels across India – including Vikhroli, Hebbal, Thane, and the latest iteration, ibis Mumbai BKC – redefines the experience for the modern, short-transit traveller. Central to each property is a vibrant, contemporary identity that champions local art, infusing public spaces and the All-Day Dining restaurant with dynamic energy.

The lobby establishes an "industrial chic" aesthetic with wood, metals, and reflective glass. A clever, playful reception back panel features a mishmash of letters, highlighting "Ibis" as the focal point. This smart, vibrant area seamlessly flows into the lounge and bar, creating a cohesive journey for guests.
In the F&B zones, an earth-toned palette and soft lighting foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The design incorporates a "hardware restoration" feel, artfully softened by local artefacts, comfortable furnishings, and bespoke lighting with inviting words like “delicious.”

As Isabelle Miaja, Managing Director of Miaja Design Group, comments, “I want the guest to feel the comfort of home, with casual lounge seating and modern technology. This unique property will be a new hangout where people can relax, work, or network. 'People connectivity’ is integral to the ambience.” This fourth design iteration successfully merges local vibrancy with global sophistication.
