Club Med Sahoro, Hokkaido - Japan

Interior Design Renovation
Project Completed 2026

The renovation of Club Med Sahoro’s Daichi Main Restaurant is an immersive culinary theatre. Designed around dynamic live cooking stations, the space allows guests to engage directly with Japanese chefs mastering traditional methods. The aesthetic is a modern, clean-lined interpretation of a bustling market hall, with warm timber accents, polished stone counters, and subtle ambient lighting that highlights the artistry of hand-pulled noodles, pristine sashimi, and delicate sushi. An open layout encourages exploration, inviting guests to savour a journey through authentic, flavour Asian cuisine in a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.

In stark contrast, the new 'Mina Mina' Specialty Restaurant channels the vibrant, energetic soul of a contemporary izakaya. This is not a replication of a bygone era but a celebration of its evolution. The design blends classic elements—like dark wood, exposed brick, and the intimate glow of pendant lights—with modern, industrial touches and an international vibe that reflects its diverse staff. The layout fosters conviviality, with communal tables and a central bar encouraging shared moments over Otsumami small plates, sizzling grilled skewers, and indulgent desserts. It’s a spirited space that honours tradition while firmly embracing a dynamic, global present.
