The question has become broader than that. Nowadays you find far greater choices than just the two. For reason of humidity we are favoring tiles, engineered wood, certain laminates for tropical countries. It remains true that nothing beats natural wood (sustainable sources) in terms of authentic experience and feel but a top layer of real wood on engineered base is a great alternative.
